Questions about translator
Will it change how formal my text sounds?
It is told not to. Translation tools routinely formalise casual writing and casualise formal writing, which is exactly wrong for the two commonest uses — a message to a friend, and a letter to an office.
Can I rely on it for something official?
No. For anything legal, medical or contractual, use a human translator. A machine translation is a good starting point and a bad final document.
Do I need an account?
Yes, for the AI tools. Credits are counted per account, so there is no way to meter an anonymous visitor — and an unmetered path would exhaust the model budget within a day. Signing in is free and the free plan includes credits.
Is my text stored?
Your text is sent to the model to be processed and is not saved to your account unless you choose to save the result. Identical requests are cached for a day so a repeat costs nothing, which is why the same input can return instantly.
What happens if it fails?
The credit is refunded. A request that returned nothing does not cost you anything.
Can I use the output commercially?
Yes. Check it first — a language model can be confidently wrong, and anything factual should be verified before you put your name on it.
Something wrong with this tool?
If it gave you the wrong answer or would not do what you needed, we would rather hear about it than not.
